Goyette Mechanical to Orchestrate “Project Heats On” for Burton Families 9/9/09
Goyette Mechanical, Plumbing Heating and Cooling and Electrical will be continuing their giving ways this fall by implementing “Project Heats On” for 40 homes within the City of Burton. Project Heats On will provide a heating system clean and check analysis, repair and even potential system replacement for needy families in Burton. The program will commence on October 17th, The homes receiving service are being selected with help from the Burton City Council.
Vaughn Smith, spokesperson for Project Heats On is helping implement the program as a resident of the City of Burton. The residents selected for this years project will be selected based on criteria that will include recent job loss and needful senior citizen status. The City of Burton will have "Heat's On" on-line applications on their City of Burton website, and paper applications at Burton City Hall, and the Burton Senior Center. All three sites will have applications ready Wednesday, September 16th. The Burton Chamber of Commerce will be supporting the project by graciously providing food for the volunteers.
Goyette Mechanical has consistently supported the community for years with efforts like Project Heats On and building support /maintenance for Whaley’s Children’s Center in Flint. Goyette has been part of a team of companies performing Project Heats On in past years. This is the first occasion that they have taken on a solo effort. The technicians from Goyette volunteer and donate their time and expertise to help in this company wide effort. Goyette Mechanical provides the parts and materials and has some systems donated from vendors such as Behler Young (Bryant) and others.
